Introduction & Vision
Masqued Expressions is a transformational art experience that blends intuitive painting and mask-decorating into a journey of self-discovery, creativity, and emotional expression.
Unlike traditional painting classes, Masqued Expressions is designed to be a deeply personal and expressive experience where participants get to explore:
- Decorating masks as symbolic reflections of their emotions, inner truths, and personal growth.
- Create abstract, intuitive paintings that translate emotions into color through movement, techniques and form.
- Engage in mindfulness, storytelling, and self-reflection exercises that foster inner clarity.
This program is not about artistic skill—it’s about unlocking creativity, confidence and insight in a supportive, inspiring environment.
Through guided workshops, participants will explore their emotions, embrace imperfection, and develop emotional expression that extend far beyond the canvas. Participants will experience not just the artwork but a deeper connection to themselves and their creative potential.

- Open for anyone ages 14 and up
- Canvas + Mask
- 3 hour class - $200 (Early Bird $150)
- Class includes guided instruction using various techniques for a colorful, emotional painting expression on the background canvas, and paints/markers/ stencils/stickers for mask creation and decoration

Masqued Expressions Archetype Class
- Women only, ages 18 and up
- Canvas + Mask
- 4 hour class - $300
- Class includes guided instruction using various techniques for a colorful, emotional painting expression on the background canvas. Masks will incorporate one of the Divine Feminine Archetye Energies (Warrior, Mother, Lover, Priestess)

Friday Night Mask Night
- Open House (no class instruction)
- Masks $30 each (no canvas)

When it’s time to paint the masks, participants are given space to reflect, explore, and play. We all wear masks—some bold, some subtle, some so familiar we forget they’re even there. This creative process invites gentle curiosity: What happens when we try on something new? Something whimsical, something fierce, maybe even something a little wild?
As the masks come to life with color, texture, and unexpected flair, so too do the people creating them. What begins as simple decoration turns into something more—a playful unraveling, a quiet remembering. Participants often rediscover parts of themselves that have been just beneath the surface—curiosity, restlessness, tenderness, courage, and a new doorway to go within.
Each mask becomes a kind of mirror, not of who we’re trying to be, but of who we truly are underneath the expectations.

FAQ’s and Other Details…
- Do I need to be a skilled painter? Not at all. This is not a skill development class. Intuitive art focuses on observing the process and uncovering truths, rather than achieving perfection or traditional beauty.
- Do I have to draw a face? Absolutely not. Some participants choose to draw faces, while others express themselves through different subjects or shapes—it’s entirely up to you.
- What if I don’t finish my painting? That’s perfectly okay! Your artwork is a journey, not a race. Some pieces take time to reveal their full message, and you’ll have the opportunity to continue exploring after the program.
- Do I have to use acrylics? Yes. Acrylics are essential for this process because their quick-drying nature allows for the layering techniques central to the program.
