Beneath the Surface

This new series of my art blends traditional paper mache masks displayed on wooden boards, creating an intriguing fusion of texture, symbolism, and dimension. The masks serve as both subject and medium, representing hidden emotions, personas, or identities that are affixed and embedded into the wood. Each mask invites the viewer to imagine a narrative—whether it's a playful, theatrical persona or a mask concealing something deeper—and how it resonates with the story painted on the surface.
